Self Growth - Life is Difficult
Every journey of self growth begins with certain fundamental truths. I have found that none is as important as having the right attitude in life. One of the things that will determine that attitude is how we face and deal with life’s challenges. How do you lead a great life, whilst at the same time acknowledging that life is difficult? This is a full version of the first broadcast of
The Dr. Moses Show.
Listen in below to hear the message:
In summary:
1. Life is difficult.
That is a basic fact of life and an essential pillar for any self growth to occur. The sooner you accept that life will throw you challenges, no matter how perfect your plans are, the better you will handle them and the less they will bother you.
2. You can make it better - by taking responsibility.
Life is difficult, but that does not mean you cannot make it better. You can. You do not determine everything that life will throw at you and what other people will do that will affect you. But you do determine and are responsible for how you respond to what life throws at you. One such way is to take responsibility for your self-growth.
3. You always have choices.
You situation may seem impossible or difficult, but no matter how insurmountable things seem to be, you do have choices. They may be easy choices or they may be tough choices. But you always have a choice and you are responsible for determining what choices you make. In the words of Dr. Scott Peck:
“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult - once we truly understand and accept it - then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.” Till next time, remember: “You are all you can be. Go on and be it.” You can read a full transcript of this show at the
